Living Rooms
The living room is where family and friends come together to enjoy each other's company.  It is a room of leisure that can be bold and bright or tranquil and warm.  Care should be taken when arranging furnishings in this room.  Make sure your focal point is obvious and seen by all.
Extra furniture and plants make this room look small and busy.  De-cluttering the room helped create a better traffic flow.
This living room was made dark with window coverings closed and dark furniture and rug on floor.  Notice how much brighter the room feels with a light colored couch that was brought up from another room.
We knew there must be some nice hard wood floors under this carpet and there were - in perfect condition.  The baby blue walls were painted white and the dated window treatments were removed.  This family of 6 now enjoy their space.
There was far more furniture in this room than needed to be.  A wrought iron chair and large pillow blocked the beautiful fire place - this room's great focal point.
